The answer for question no 22 ( 1997 year ) should be option A ( 6.30 hrs ) .

Mayur

Sakishor,
Actually the answer is 18.30 only. You get 6.30 as answer if you consider UTC instead of international date line.

q17, 1999
he ship is crossing the 180° meridian, which is the International Date Line (IDL). When crossing the IDL:

East to West → Gain a day (move back one day).
West to East → Lose a day (move forward one day).
Given Data:
The ship crosses the 180° meridian at 23:30 hrs (11:30 PM) on January 1, 1999.
The journey continues for one more hour.
Step-by-Step Calculation:
After one hour, the time would be 00:30 hrs (12:30 AM) on January 2, 1999, if there were no date change.
Since the ship is sailing eastward (from the Aleutian Islands to Dutch Harbor), it crosses the IDL from west to east.
When moving west to east across the IDL, the date advances by one day.
Therefore, after crossing the IDL, the date changes from January 2, 1999 (00:30 hrs) to January 3, 1999 (00:30 hrs).
Final Answer:
The captain will record the time and date as 00:30 hrs (12:30 AM) on January 3, 1999.
