Detail me solution chahiye mujhe mujhe. Kaise milega
Hi Jyoti,
Actually we encourage that students look for answers in their own books/resources. This helps you to understand your own books nicely.
It’s also true that some difficult questions will need explanation from our side as well, but currently its difficult. Hope you can understand.
The answer for question no 22 ( 1997 year ) should be option c.
it was not wrong..
Yes Sanjeet
Actually 6:30am comes out to be answer when instead of International Date Line, we consider UTC. And probably that is mistake happening with some students.
When we consider International Date line, as asked in the question, the answer is 18.30 i.e. 6.30pm.
2013, Q 1, answer should be B option.
It’s D) only Aditya.
If the elliptical orbit were the reason for seasonal variation, we would have had same seasons in north and south hemisphere at a time.
The earth’s distance from sun does affect the heat received on earth. However, the tilt of earth on it’s axis, which determines on what angle we’ll receive the rays and also for how much time, has more effect on temperature and thus seasons.
I have confusion for pyq book….it has analysis of all questions or only ans has ben given.

q17, 1999
he ship is crossing the 180° meridian, which is the International Date Line (IDL). When crossing the IDL:
East to West → Gain a day (move back one day).
West to East → Lose a day (move forward one day).
Given Data:
The ship crosses the 180° meridian at 23:30 hrs (11:30 PM) on January 1, 1999.
The journey continues for one more hour.
Step-by-Step Calculation:
After one hour, the time would be 00:30 hrs (12:30 AM) on January 2, 1999, if there were no date change.
Since the ship is sailing eastward (from the Aleutian Islands to Dutch Harbor), it crosses the IDL from west to east.
When moving west to east across the IDL, the date advances by one day.
Therefore, after crossing the IDL, the date changes from January 2, 1999 (00:30 hrs) to January 3, 1999 (00:30 hrs).
Final Answer:
The captain will record the time and date as 00:30 hrs (12:30 AM) on January 3, 1999.
Right
